1. Purpose & Theological Mandate
In alignment with Article 12 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights regarding the right to privacy and human dignity, and in accordance with Old Catholic pastoral theology, Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. upholds absolute confidentiality for all care seekers, asylum seekers, indigent families, and participants in crisis who seek harbor within our virtual ministry.
This policy establishes zero-tolerance standards regarding the protection of care-seeker identities, the strict prohibition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) representations of clients, the governance of institutional digital presence, and the legal ownership of organizational digital assets.
2. Operational Directives
2.1 Uncompromised Informed Consent
No photography, video recording, audio recording, screenshotting, or public dissemination of participant information occurs without explicit, uncoerced, written consent executed prior to publication. Consent may be revoked by the participant at any time without penalty or loss of ministry access.
2.2 Universal Narrative Anonymization
In public impact reporting, legal disclosures, or international ministry updates, all identifying details, including names, specific geographic locations, dates, and personal characteristics, are systematically altered to protect participant sovereignty and physical safety.
2.3 Strict Prohibition of AI-Generated, Synthetic, or Manipulated Imagery
Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy regarding the digital synthesis, alteration, or representation of care seekers, clients, or beneficiaries.
Prohibition of AI Representations: The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), generative media software, deepfake technology, synthetic avatars, or algorithmically created images/videos designed to represent, mimic, depict, or visually simulate real clients or care seekers is strictly prohibited across all media platforms.
Prohibition of Synthetic Storytelling: Re-creating or prompting AI models to generate hypothetical client cases based on real confidential pastoral interactions is strictly forbidden.
2.4 Total Ban on Public Social Media Exploitation
Under no circumstances shall any care seeker, client, or beneficiary, or any AI-generated representation thereof, be featured, displayed, or referenced on public social media, marketing campaigns, or commercial fundraising materials.
2.5 Institutional Ban on Official Organizational Social Media Accounts
By formal mandate of the Board of Directors, Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. does not maintain, operates without, and is explicitly prohibited from establishing official organizational social media accounts (including, but not limited to, Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn).
Institutional Rationale: This prohibition safeguards client confidentiality, protects institutional tax-exempt status, eliminates public vectors for privacy breaches, and ensures all organizational communications remain formal, secure, and administrative.
2.6 Personal vs. Official Capacity Governance for Officers & Directors
Members of the Board of Directors, elected officials, ordained clergy, and officers of Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. may maintain personal social media accounts, subject to strict organizational boundaries:
Prohibition of Personal Representation: Officers, directors, and elected officials are strictly prohibited from posting, speaking, commenting, or issuing public statements on behalf of, or in representation of, Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. on their personal social media profiles.
Prior Board Authorization for Official Channels: If an officer, director, or elected body member requires a dedicated digital channel (e.g., website, WhatsApp business line, official email, or specialized portal) to fulfill their official duties, such channel must receive prior formal approval by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Sole Property of Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc.: Any digital asset, domain name, website, social media handle, messaging account (including WhatsApp Business accounts), or database created or operated in an official capacity by an officer, director, or elected official is, and shall remain, the sole legal property of Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. The organization retains administrative master control, login credentials, and ownership rights to all such assets at all times.
