Our Founder

Founder and Pastor Emeritus

Rev. Fr. Justin Hurtado-Palomo, PhD founded Ekklēsía Iwigá, Inc. in 2016 with a vision to build a community where everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can find support, care, and purpose. Prior to his diagnosis with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), Fr. Justin was instrumental in establishing the organization’s foundational mission and core values.

Medically retired since March 2018, he continues to serve as Pastor Emeritus in a strictly uncompensated, volunteer capacity as his physical health and capability permit. Living with a rare neuromuscular disorder has only deepened Fr. Justin’s passion for compassionate outreach and faith-based patient advocacy, ensuring his deep pastoral wisdom and original vision remain the guiding light of our virtual sanctuary.
